Happy Fly Fishing Father’s Day
From all the guides and shop staff at Vail Valley Anglers, Happy Father’s Day to all the fly fishing fanatics out there. Most of us owe our interest and passion for the outdoors and fly fishing to our fathers or grandfathers. We tagged along as little kids, getting in the way, throwing rocks in the water, spooking fish, playing in the mud and reeling in Dad’s fish. At Vail Valley Anglers we are extremely appreciative of all the fathers out there that have made fly fishing a family tradition. Thanks for taking us along and turning us into anglers and outdoorsmen and women.
My Dad got me my first fly rod at a very young age, complete with a wind-up automatic reel and I was ruined for life. I owe my guiding career to that first fly rod and the all sunfish and stocker trout I landed with it. Now I get to take my father fishing and it is the best possible thanks I can give him for all those days spent on the water as a kid. I now have a couple young sons of my own and the three year old is already a fishing fool and I couldn’t be happier.
Take the time to thank your father tomorrow and take him fishing. There’s no better place to spend a summer day than fly fishing for trout in the Colorado Rockies.
Call the guys at the Vail Valley Anglers fly shop or check us out online to book a guided fly fishing trip or pick up some fly fishing gear for your father this summer.
